Score: 101-98 Knicks
Bobcats Record: 1-3
Meritorious Player: Jared Dudley – 13 points (10 attempts), 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 1 assist. The Bobcats were +9 with The Dude on the court, with a net efficiency of +17.3 points per 100 possessions in those 27 minutes, 44 seconds.

I have not had a chance to watch the game yet, but I ran the numbers for it. As it was another loss, I may skip it. Either way, here are a few things from the numbers that stand out.

The bench cost the Bobcats the game. The starters all had defensive efficiency numbers of 110.6 or below. The bench was all at or above 114.3, with Matt Carroll leading the anti-resistance with a 237.5 in 5 mins, 39 secs…but, there is more.
After helping Will Bynum look like an All-Star, it was Nate Robinson's turn – D.J. Augustin (defensive efficiency of 126.5) guarded Nate to the tune of 6 points in 62 seconds, Shannon Brown (228.6) 13 points in 3 minutes. Just wow.
The Bobcats actually won the battle of the boards – 44 to 36. Emeka had his semi-usual 15, Gerald had 11, and Jason Richardson finally took an interest in rebounding, grabbing 9.
Decent offensive performance… but against a bad defensive team. The Bobcats shot 48.8% from the field and finished with an offensive efficiency of 105.4 – decent for them. But they hurt themselves with 18 turnovers (Emeka – 6 turnovers? Seriously. It cost you meritorious player honors, just so you know) and did not get to the line enough to counteract the giveaways.
