Bobcats vs. Mavericks Recap

Detailed boxscore: Boxscore Page

Score: 100-83 Dallas
Bobcats Record: 3-7
Efficiencies:
  Offensive: 89.2
  Defensive: 104.2
Meritorious Player: D.J. Augustin.
21 points on 15 attempts, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and 0 turnovers. Even with all that – the Bobcats were only even with Dallas with D.J. on the court. That is however a lot better than can be said for most of the team.

I had avoided doing this recap just because it was such a depressing game. Sitting there, watching the Bobcats go over 6 minutes to start the game without scoring (with only Emeka's trip to the free throw a good chance to get it done earlier), it was rough. So, if you want to read about that part of it, here are some links:

Final note: The one enjoyable thing about the game? Seeing Ryan Hollins and Alexis Ajinca playing at the same time – and looking decent. We all know that Ryan is going to try to do 2 things: Dunk and block, and he did not disappoint. Alexis also threw one down, but he also did his best Dirk-impersonation one time, with a low-post fall-away jumper. Very pretty move, and that is just about unblockable when the guy shooting is 7-1. While the team was not playing against the Dallas best, in the 5+ minutes the two were on the court together, the Bobcats won by 4, with efficiencies of 130 offensive and 75 defensive. Might there be some hope for the future? I am going to say there is, because otherwise…
