Quick thoughts:
Two mediocre defenses – and then a big contrast, as the Nuggets are one of the league’s fastest, most efficient offenses – and the Bobcats the opposite, slowest and least efficient.  Except for the one game where Indiana made 20 of 21 shots in the third quarter on their way to a 31-point win, Denver has been close in all of their losses, with their next worst defeat coming by just 6 points.  The point about those points:  The Nuggets have been winning close games – and the Bobcats have not.  Denver is 6-3 in games decided by 5 or fewer points and the Bobcats are 3-7 in such games.

So, the Nuggets don’t get blown out and they don’t lose many close games – With Carmelo Anthony among the league’s best players in clutch time year after year, it makes sense the Nuggets manage to find wins.  Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson will have to slow him down if the Bobcats can keep it close late – and manage to find a few buckets of their own, as a fourth quarter skid like the Bobcats had against New Orleans and New Jersey would be tougher to overcome against the Nuggets.
