Boris Diaw, PF 27 MIN | 1-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 2 AST | 2 PTS | -17
Simply put, Diaw was non existent on both ends of the floor. He had a horrible night shooting the ball, couldn’t get any position inside and seemed absent for a good part of the game. He finished the contest with a -17 +/-. |

Tyrus Thomas, PF 32 MIN | 3-6 FG | 4-6 FT | 7 REB | 0 AST | 10 PTS | -1
Thomas played a decent game; He shot fifty percent from the floor, reeled in seven rebounds and played alright on defense in just his second game of the season. Thomas also played more than 30 minutes for the second night in a row. |

DeSagana Diop, C 17 MIN | 2-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 4 PTS | -3
There’s not much to say about Diop tonight. He didn’t take any bad shots and he did as well as any Bobcat against Pacers center, Roy Hibbert, on defense. It would’ve been nice too see him grab more than one rebound, though. |

Gerald Henderson, G 36 MIN | 5-16 FG | 2-5 FT | 10 REB | 1 AST | 14 PTS | -18
Henderson recorded his first double-double of the season and shot 50 percent from three, but had a bad night at the free-throw line and didn’t get anyone else involved in the offense. Granted, he does most of his damage coming off screens, but Henderson averaged just under two assists before Saturday night’s game. He also shot well below his season average of 47 percent and looked like he forced some things against the Pacers. |

D.J. Augustin, PG 39 MIN | 7-19 FG | 3-4 FT | 7 REB | 4 AST | 20 PTS | -5
Augustin once again led the Bobcats in scoring, but he also tied for third on the team in rebounds. The former Texas Longhorn had six rebounds in the first quarter alone, but was non-existent in that aspect of the game in the last three frames. He forced some things in the fourth quarter when things got out of hand instead of looking for the open man. |

D.J. White, PF 19 MIN | 1-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 2 PTS | -1
White’s offensive production took a hit against the Pacers, as did his minutes. With the past two peformances Tyrus Thomas put in, it’ll be hard for White to break the 25 minute mark any time soon. |

Derrick Brown, F 16 MIN | 2-6 FG | 1-2 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 5 PTS | -21
Nothing to see here. Brown is who we thought he was: Anemic on offense and serviceable on defense. |

Kemba Walker, PG 18 MIN | 3-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 3 AST | 6 PTS | -13
A star in the Bobcat’s prior matchup with Atlanta, Walker came back down to Earth with a horrible shooting night. Still, he was flying around the court on both halves and did manage just one less assist than Augustin in 21 less minutes. |

Byron Mullens, C 21 MIN | 3-11 FG | 4-4 FT | 11 REB | 0 AST | 10 PTS | -9
Like Walker, Mullens also had a momentary fall from grace against the Pacers. He too had an abysmal night shooting, but he played well enough to record a double-double and was the only Charlotte player to hit all of his free-throws. |

Bismack Biyombo, C 12 MIN | 2-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 4 PTS | -14
The man with the massive wingspan didn’t play enough minutes to have a significant impact on the game’s outcome, but he did grab four rebounds and swat one shot in his limited time on the floor. |

Five Things We Saw
- Second Half Woes: The Bobcats controlled the game in the first half in almost every way. Indiana did shoot a better percentage from the field, but Charlotte shot a decent percentage as well, out-rebounded the Pacers 24 to 13 and led 49-43 after the end of two. The Pacers had their way with the ‘Cats the rest of the game, though, and outscored them 56-28 in the second half.
- Hustle Harder: As mentioned above, Charlotte out-rebounded the Pacers by 11 in the first half. They didn’t show the same intensity to grab loose balls in the second half, though, and ended up with a rebounding margin of just 48-45 at the end of the game. Perhaps the worst display of Charlotte’s second half apathy came near the end of the fourth quarter when Tyler Hansbrough (who knows a thing or two about hustle) missed a free-throw, stormed down the lane and ripped the ball from Mullen’s puppy-like grip before getting fouled again.
- When Charity Becomes Chore: The Bobcats missed seven of their 21 free-throws (emphasis on the “free”) against the Pacers and shot a horrid 66.7 percent from the charity-stripe overall. Henderson had the worst go of it at the line, hitting just two of his five free-throw attempts. After a 22 point loss, seven missed free-throws might not seem like that big of a deal, but when a team scores just 77 points in a game, they need to generate offense anywhere they can… And what better place to do it than from somewhere called the FREE-throw line?
- Fired Up: With 10:45 left in the fourth quarter, Henderson and George Hill dove for a lose ball. Hill ended up on top of Henderson, and when the Charlotte two-guard tried to stand up, Hill was still draped on him. Henderson must not have liked the company, because Hill ended up on the ground (then fuming on the sidelines) and Henderson got charged with a technical foul. It would’ve been nice to see this moment fire Charlotte up, but it seemed to do just the opposite.
- No-Zone-Layer?: Whether it had to do with match-ups or the fact that Kemba Walker only played 18 minutes, the Bobcats didn’t run much zone against the Pacers. Charlotte had the personnel to get it done in a zone defense and Indiana shot just 22.2 percent from behind the arc, but coach, Paul Silas didn’t opt to run it that often, if at all. As a result, the Pacers had their way in the paint and shot 50.6 percent from the field.
