ESPN reports Ronald “Flip” Murray to sign $1.99M deal with the Charlotte Bobcats. My reaction: Cool. The Bobcats now have a quality backup guard who can kind of play both spots. Flip is known for scoring but has averaged passable assists depending on where he was and what he was called on for. I imagine this pushes Gerald Henderson down the depth chart a bit, as Larry Brown is notoriously fond of veterans and un-enamored with rookies, and it may also mean that Dontell Jefferson's un-guaranteed deal is about to get un-guaranteed.
For Flip's numbers for last season, head to his player page – Ronald Murray, ATL and you can hit the Player Swap Page from there to see how the Bobcats would improve by replacing Cartier or Ammo's minutes with Flip.
