Boxscore of Bobcats vs Bucks – 11/20/2009
Score: 95-88 Milwaukee
Bobcats Record: 3-9
Offensive Efficiency: 100.0
Defensive Efficiency: 105.6
Meritorious Player: Gerald Wallace – 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and just 1 turnover.
Quick recap for now, but here is what did the Bobcats in:
1. Free throw shooting – The Bobcats went just 26 of 43 from the free throw line, for 60.5%. Nice aggressiveness in creating opportunities at the line, but converting at that poorly of a rate almost makes it not worth while.
2. 2 of 14 on threes for CLT, 10 of 28 for Milly-wau-kay. 24 points more from 3 for the Bucks on just 14 more attempts – that is big.
14 to 2 offensive rebound gap – the Bobcats managed just 2 offensive rebounds for the game.
Between the missed free throws, discrepancy in threes, and offensive rebounds, the Bucks took 23 more attempts from the floor. So, on a night when the Bobcats shot almost 10% from the floor than the opposition (50.8% to 41.5%), they still manage to lose. Perfect storm of ugly. More to come later today.
