Bobcats vs Cavaliers Recap

Boxscore of Bobcats vs Cavaliers – 11/27/2009
Score: 94-87 Charlotte
Bobcats Record: 6-9
Offensive Efficiency: 103.3
Defensive Efficiency: 94.6
Meritorious Player: Gerald Wallace – 31 points on 10 of 14 from the floor, 10 of 14 from the stripe. 14 rebounds, 3 steals, an assist, and just 1 turnover. Oh, and 12 fouls drawn – so he was getting free throws for himself, getting the team into the bonus quickly, and getting LeBron James in foul trouble.

21 possessions in the fourth quarter with just 12 points scored on them: 57.1 offensive efficiency. The other 3 quarters, 82 points on 70 possessions: Offensive efficiency of 117.1. You know what? It is still an improvement from the early season results, so it will do. But a lot of it seemed avoidable – some careless turnovers and unnecessary jumpers gave the Cavaliers a chance to make it interesting. And they did – but the Bobcats defense was strong enough to hold on as the offense crumbled. Look the boxscore over – savor the win – and more to follow.
