|Bismack Biyombo, PF 11 MIN | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 2 PTS | +8
Another blah performance, but he only played 11 min.
|Byron Mullens, C 25 MIN | 3-5 FG | 3-3 FT | 5 REB | 0 AST | 11 PTS | -3
Very active defensively- much better awareness of his defensive positioning on the floor. For the exception of the one shot that was closer to half court than the three point line in the first half, didn’t really force shots.
|Ramon Sessions, PG 35 MIN | 4-16 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 5 AST | 8 PTS | -16
Tough day for Sessions from the floor. Also had 4 turnovers- eww. This was his first real struggle in a Bobcats uniform and the frustration boiled over as he was T’d up by Joey Crawford in the 4th quarter.
|Kemba Walker, PG 40 MIN | 6-16 FG | 6-7 FT | 2 REB | 7 AST | 20 PTS | -5
Another impressive performance from Kemba. He’s shooting the ball so much better than last season and that is likely attributed to the fact that there are more weapons around him for the defense to key in on. He also didn’t turn the ball over once.
|Gerald Henderson, SG 20 MIN | 6-14 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 13 PTS | +5
Slight shooting improvement from past few games and continues to take his fair share of shots from behind the arc.
|Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF 13 MIN | 2-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 4 PTS | -12
Didn’t play a lot today. That’s about it.
|Brendan Haywood, C 34 MIN | 4-7 FG | 0-0 FT | 13 REB | 1 AST | 8 PTS | -14
If Haywood gives Dunlap one of these performances every 3-4 games he’s going to be a happy coach.
|Ben Gordon, SG 30 MIN | 2-10 FG | 5-6 FT | 1 REB | 5 AST | 11 PTS | -16
Gordon, like Sessions, struggled from the field today and we saw in the second half that when these two can’t get it going offensively then the Bobcats are going to have some real trouble scoring the basketball.
Four Things We Saw
- First half was very encouraging. Second half was very discouraging. Charlotte was 42.2% from the field and 53.3% from behind the arc in the first half. Bobcats also forced 12 Milwaukee turnovers that translated into 20 points. Second half was completely different story- Bobcats were 28.9% from field and 12.5% from deep. Charlotte also allowed 32 points in the paint in second half and were basically doubled up in the paint for the game (50-26).
- More bad stats- Bobcats were out-rebounded 56-38 and allowed Milwaukee to pull down 21 offensive boards.
- Bobcats led 71-51 in the 3rd quarter. From that point on they were outscored 49-19 on their way to a 100-90 defeat.
- I’ll end on a positive stat- Bobcats only turned the ball over 10 times today.
