|Derrick Brown, F 30 MIN | 7-13 FG | 0-2 FT | 6 REB | 0 AST | 14 PTS | -9
Active on the offensive glass tonight. Another above average night from the field.
|Bismack Biyombo, C 33 MIN | 2-10 FG | 3-5 FT | 13 REB | 3 AST | 7 PTS | -12
Biyombo did much better on the glass tonight matched up against 4’s instead of 5’s. Coach Silas says he plans to have Biz guard 4’s for the remainder of the season and hopefully that’ll continue to free him up.
|Byron Mullens, C 34 MIN | 3-11 FG | 3-4 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 9 PTS | -38
Mullens was awful, as usual, defensively. He continues his slump from the field. Mullens is averaging 6 PPG and shooting 31.6% in the past five games.
|Gerald Henderson, G 31 MIN | 6-12 FG | 1-1 FT | 1 REB | 2 AST | 13 PTS | -25
Henderson is starting to turn into the black hole of the offense when he gets the ball. He doesn’t pass it back to anyone, but no harm done, he knows that an ISO set for him is as good as any other option this team has offensively.
|Kemba Walker, PG 29 MIN | 4-12 FG | 7-8 FT | 3 REB | 5 AST | 16 PTS | -24
Kemba did a very good job of attacking the rim in the open floor in the first half and was rewarded with half of his points coming from the foul line. Walker only played nine minutes and scored 2 points in the second half.
|Jamario Moon, SF 18 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 0 PTS | -23
Still scoreless as a Bobcat, but he hit rim tonight on the jumper.
|Matt Carroll, SG 17 MIN | 1-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 2 PTS | -7
Where in the world did his shot go? It’s baffling.
Three Things We Saw
- Bobcats continue to build on their franchise worst 18-game losing streak and are now just five games away from the NBA record of lowest winning percentage in a single season.
- For any Bobcats fans who are really biting their nails as the schedule winds down, circle Sunday on the last truly meaningful game. Sacramento, at home, is the last game the Bobcats have any kind of realistic shot at winning. Optimistically thinking. How can I even still do that with this team?
- Charlotte has lost their past ten games by an average of 19.2 PPG. D-league teams just shouldn’t have to play NBA teams on a nightly basis. It’s just not fair, but then again, I guess this is what you have to go through when your franchise decides to take the ‘tanking’ route. OKC set the blueprint for ‘tanking’, but why do I get a bad feeling this is all going to backfire on this franchise. Bottom line- if the first white ball pulled out on the May 30th draft lottery doesn’t have Charlotte’s name on it, this team could be set back an entire decade. Yes, Anthony Davis could mean that much.
