Bobcats get the horns from the Bucks

Charlotte Bobcats 93 Final
Recap | Box Score
108 Milwaukee Bucks
Jeffery Taylor, SF 27 MIN | 1-10 FG | 2-2 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 4 PTS | -3

I just liked this tweet:

After tonight’s performance by Taylor (and Henderson), the rookie may not have a starting spot much longer. If he does get moved back to the bench, he has already impressed with his fairly solid play in GH, Jr’s absence.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF 32 MIN | 4-4 FG | 3-6 FT | 11 REB | 2 AST | 11 PTS | +4
Apparently Charlotte Bobcats rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a crisis of confidence in the preseason, but his college coach quickly put out that fire.
-MKG had confidence restored by Rick Bonnell at the Charlotte Observer

Byron Mullens, C 14 MIN | 3-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 0 AST | 6 PTS | -17

Mullens didn’t take any threes tonight, but I still want to use this space to pass along this link: The Kobe Assist from Grantland. Consider the likelihood of a teammate getting an easy putback score on a Mullens three after reading this article, and it may further turn people against Mullens’ shooting from deep.

Kemba Walker, PG 26 MIN | 8-13 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 6 AST | 16 PTS | -6

Bismack Biyombo, PF 29 MIN | 1-7 FG | 0-2 FT | 8 REB | 1 AST | 2 PTS | -18

Not a great performance from Bismack tonight – tentative from the field, but the blocks and boards are nice. Speaking of boards, check out this video of him doing the Mutombo finger way the other night: Bismack Biyombo blocks and does the Mutombo finger way from SlamOnline

Reggie Williams, SF 9 MIN | 3-4 FG | 0-3 FT | 0 REB | 1 AST | 8 PTS | +1

Reggie Williams almost made this a game late, as he scored 8 straight points at one point during a 12-0 run by the Bobcats that closed the gap from a 21-point deficit to just 9 with 1:23 left. The Bobcats then proceeded to give up 3 offensive rebounds on the next two Bucks’ possessions sandwiched around a Warrick turnover to end all hope for this one.

DeSagana Diop, C 22 MIN | 3-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 2 AST | 6 PTS | +4

Grading on a curve, but a good effort for Diop in the blowout. But it’s not a good sign for this team when he gets minutes.

Ramon Sessions, PG 21 MIN | 2-6 FG | 4-4 FT | 5 REB | 2 AST | 8 PTS | -18

Keyser Soze has a point – that’s a pretty tough trio to field and play defense with.

Gerald Henderson, SG 24 MIN | 6-10 FG | 6-7 FT | 4 REB | 1 AST | 19 PTS | -10

Nice game from Gerald, including a nice explosion from the baseline for a dunk late in the game. Probably getting his starting spot back soon.
