There it is folks. We’ve seen a lot of rollout over the last few months, Buzz City, a pyramid of logos and Hugo, but this feels a little different. The uniforms are part of the game action. We’ll see them every night the Hornets are in action. White at home, purple away and teal alternates. They also make use of two of the alternate logos we saw on the pyramid long ago. There’s also an odd nod (maybe?) to the classic pinstripes down the middle.

We’ll be updating this page with some reaction from around the web. Follow @HiveTalkLive for our thoughts post-release. And listen to the live show tomorrow at 6:30pET for Doug and Spencer’s full thoughts.

Love the Hornets' new home uni. Not as fond of the road or alternate. My analysis will be on ESPN shortly. pic.twitter.com/N1cULlsycg

From Rick Bonnell’s Observer article:
Seth Bennett, the Hornets’ vice president of marketing, entertainment and interactive media, said the first priority was a look the team could use for many years to come.
“We didn’t want to be trendy, we didn’t want to be loud,” Bennett said in a morning media briefing. “I think this connects the two eras.”
Few more closeups. Love the design inside the numbering. The teal alternates will be worn 16-20 games next season.
