- This has the potential to be quite an ugly game offensesively. Charlotte and Bobcats both rank in the bottom-5 of offenses in the league. The Celtics and 27th in offensive efficiency while the Bobcats are one spot worse.
- A lineup that fields Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford as a starting backcourt will struggle to take care of the basketball and that’s exactly what’s going on right now in Boston – 17.1% of the Celtics total offensive possessions are ending in a turnover so far this season. That ranks 28th in the league. Houston is the only team that turns it over more. If the Bobcats can exploit this weakness and turn turnovers into easy baskets, they can certainly take pressure off of their struggling offense.
- Seize the opportunity. The Bobcats have gotten out of the gates pretty nicely through 14 games. Although the team already has 7 wins, only 3 have come at home. Tonight presents another chance for Charlotte to get above .500 at home + against an inferior opponent. I’ve heard the word ‘playoffs’ being thrown around a little bit as of late – got to win the games at home that you’re favored in to accomplish that. Tonight.
