Back in July Bobcats rookie Kemba Walker announced that he would become part of the Under Armour brand and be an official endorsee of their new line of basketball shoes, but now the hopeful future star is one of the poster boys of Under Armour’s biggest basketball campaign ever, “Are You From Here?”
Walker will join Milwaukee’s Brandon Jennings, Minnesota’s Derrick Williams and Memphis Grizzlies Greivis Vasquez in the campaign that will visit famed high school gyms in New York City, Philadelphia and Baltimore. The tour dates will begin November 7th and run through November 11th, visiting Patterson High School (Baltimore, MD) on the 7th, Roman Catholic High School (Philadelphia, PA) on the 9th and Abraham Lincoln High School (Brooklyn, NYC) on the 11th.
The campaign will showcase Walker and his counterparts by putting them and other young athletes through intense workouts with elite and well known trainers, while also attempting to capture the idea and exemplify the mental toughness and hard work it takes to be successful, especially in the game of basketball.
Under Armour is one of the largest sporting goods/apparel companies in the world and is now launching their largest basketball campaign ever with Bobcats own Kemba Walker as the backbone of the operation. Walker has obviously made believers of the very popular sports brand Under Armour as they are choosing him to be one of the top endorsers of their product. He’s making all of the splashes necessary off the court, but the real question will be how much of an impact will we see on it?
