Boxscore of Charlotte Bobcats and Phoenix Suns – 11/20/2010
Score: 123-105 Charlotte
Bobcats record: 5-8
Offensive Efficiency: 123.0
Defensive Efficiency: 105.0
Meritorious Player: Stephen Jackson – with a historic night, as Jax became the first Bobcat to record a triple double, finishing the game with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, plus 2 steals and 2 blocks.
Against a short-handed Suns team, the Bobcats took care of business – without Steve Nash, their offense was not up to the task of outscoring the Cats, and without Robin Lopez, there was not enough resistance defensively. Oh – and Boris seemed to enjoy going against his former team again, finishing with 26 points on 17 attempts, plus 6 assists. Considering some of the looks he passed up against Miami, it would be nice if he carried a bit of a chip about past slights into games more often – but that’s not who Boris is, so no reason to dwell on it.
5 Bobcats finished in double figures in the win, the previously mentioned duo, plus Tyrus Thomas at 22 in just 29 minutes, D.J Augustin with 16 on 10 attempts, and Gerald Wallace with 14. The efficient scoring outburst bumped the Bobcats up to 21st in the league at 103.8 points per 100 possession – quite a jump from 24th at 102.0 entering the night.
