“We are working on that and I expect things to be done soon,” Biyombo said. “It will be resolved on time. I’m pretty sure that I’ll be in training camp with the rest of the guys.”
If Biyombo plans to be in training camp then he must feel very well about the situation, considering camp starts December 9th, which is next Friday. This encouraging news couldn’t come at a better time for the Bobcats as they currently have zero centers on the roster. Many believe that Biyombo is capable of playing center in the NBA despite the fact that he only stands at 6’9, and much of that reason is because he possesses a 7’6 wingspan which allows him to be a defensive force around the rim and a monster on the boards.
Biyombo was in the team facility this week scrimmaging with some of the team, so he hasn’t been totally separated from the team. The fact that he could be in training camp on time so Silas and the coaching staff can begin to mold him from the first day is very encouraging. More good news to follow hopefully.
